Hidden Configuration Pages of Chrome -Google Browser

Google Chrome Browser seems to be perfect lightweight browser and might become Firefox killer. Memory consumption of Google Chrome is very low and way web pages loads seems to be even faster then Firefox 3.

Users have already started Reverse Engineering Google Chrome and found out many hidden chrome pages or call it as Seven Google Chrome Configuration Parameters.

Hi . i want config chrome for print silent(invisible print dialog). but can’t do this . can u help me ?

Dear web master,

I noticed that some of the about abouts are not working any more.

I ‘ve tried it on Google Chrome 8.0.552.224

1- about:network
2- about:ipc
3- about:histograms/Loop
4- about:internets

Thanks for sharing.

‘configuration pages’ is a bit misleading, since you can’t configure anything there.. they are just stats!

Hi,
Even if latest versions still use ‘about’ for some hidden page, some other are now available with this keyword ‘chrome://’

like :

chrome://net-internals/

So, is this for just the Chrome Browser, or is it also for the Chromium Cr-48 Netbook from Google? I have the Netbook and I’m wondering about expanded functionality, including a way to get into the “protected” areas such as a file browser of some sort.

Zach

Interesting. Running the ‘strings’ command on the chrome binary under Linux reveals these ‘chrome://’ URLs:

chrome://about/about
chrome://bookmarks/
chrome://bugreport/
chrome://conflicts/
chrome://constrained-test/
chrome://downloads/
chrome://extensions/
chrome://favicon/
chrome://flags/
chrome://history/
chrome://newtab
chrome://plugins/
chrome://print/
chrome://settings/
chrome://chromewebdata/
chrome://appcache-internals/
chrome://blob-internals/
chrome://net-internals/
chrome://view-http-cache/
chrome://sync-internals/
chrome://gpu-internals/
chrome://about/memory-redirect
chrome://dialog/signin
chrome://screenshots/current
chrome://net/
chrome://cloudprintsetup/setupflow
chrome://syncresources/setup
chrome://favicon/
chrome://print/dummy.pdf
chrome://remotingresources/setup
chrome://blockedplugindata/

@Dzia … Names are self-explanatory. COPY all of these one-by-one in a new tab of your Chrome browser & see what output it shows. πŸ˜‰

@Jonathan … Thanks for single compilation or all ABOUT: pages πŸ˜€

@Kashif … ABOUT:INTERNETS do not work on my 17.0.XXX.XX version of CHROME. Looks like some one played a spoil-sport … ! πŸ™
